The business guidance unit of the standard committee is China machinery industry federation, which is composed of a consultant and 41 members. It is mainly responsible for the formulation and revision of national standards in the field of frequency conversion speed regulation equipment.The secretariat is attached to the Tianjin Electric Transmission Design and Research Institute. At present, Wang Chunwu, the general manager of Tianjin Tianchuan Electronic Control Equipment Testing Co., Ltd. serves as the secretary general.One of the first group of expert committee member of the general technology.

In April 2013, the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Frequency Conversion and Speed Regulation Equipment (SAC/TC518) completed the examination and approval of the four national standards for frequency converters, which will be submitted to Standardization Committee for approval soon.PTC participated in the drafting and approval of three standards.
